 As a young teenager, Harry began working on the
landscape crew at Appalachian State University for noted
landscaper Mr. Dillard Aldridge. While in high school
and college he worked for 7 years for Mr. Aldridge
earning money to obtain his degree from ASU. After
graduation Harry became a teacher, coach, and
administrator in the Watauga County school system. He
continued to landscape on a part time basis until
becoming a full time landscaper and Christmas tree
grower in 1985.
Our landscape services include design, installation,
maintenance, flowers, spraying for Hemlock Adelgid, and
more for commercial and residential customers. We
are very proud that we continue to do landscape work for
many of the same clients that we started with in 1985. A
few of our most notable landscape accomplishments
include the Broyhill Walking Path in Lenoir; as
well as the clubhouse, most condominiums, many private
homes, and common areas at Elk River Resort in
Banner Elk; the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative
main office, Appalachian Brian Estates, private
home of Mr. Paul Broyhill in Linville Ridge, and
the entrances and common areas for developer Bob Barr.
